… is een Zweedse schilder die o.a. in Amsterdam woont
en misschien wel de beste portretschilder in Nederland.
His interest in the Fine Arts was aroused at an early age: “My father was an architect, he was always bringing home drawings,“ says Larsson. However, he didn„t discover his vocation until he spent a year as an exchange student in North Carolina a the age of 16. Larsson studied at the University of Stockholm (Art History) and at the Stockholm School of Architecture. He then moved to Florence, Italy, to study at Cecil and Graves, the only atelier in Europe dedicated to the instruction of traditional realism. He spent nearly three years there studying the techniques and methods of the Old Masters. He now is a prolific painter of portraits, landscapes and still lifes. For the last 10 years the artist has lived in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. There he has a studio, but Larsson also paints portraits and landscapes on location in other countries.
