Yuri was born in 1957 in Stavropol in a family of an artist. He began painting at the age of 3, and since 1978 has exhibited as a professional artist. Participated in more than 60 exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His arwork are owned by the State Tretiakov Gallery, Russian Academy of Art, Stavropol fine arts museum, Ministry of culture of Russian Federation, Ministry of Domestic Affairs of Russian Federation, Painters Union of Russia, Painters Union of the USSR and many Russian banks. Some are in Wilbur Pirs` collection (Philadelphia, USA), as well as in Paris, London, Italy, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Austria, China, Yugoslavia, Arab Emirates.
