Nieuwe uitgaven bij Benedikt Taschen: Berlin
Ooit begonnen als punker met een stripboekenwinkeltje in Keulen, is Taschen ruim 25 jaar later een sexy merk geworden met vestigingen over de hele wereld. Publishers of Art, Anthropology and Aphrodesia staat er op de omslag van de nieuwe voorjaarscatalogus. Gisteren viel hij weer op de mat. Sex sells, dus een flink deel van het Taschenfonds bestaat uit erotische, semi-pornografische en soms ranzige boeken (onder de noemer camp, want dan is het intellectueel verantwoord), die wat mij betreft niet zo hoeven. Voor de rest wel veel fijne plaatjesboeken over kunst, architectuur, design en film.
Glienicker Brücke bij Potsdam. In de jaren 1961-1989 vaak gebruikt om spionnen uit te wisselen en soms ging dat in een lijkkist. In de zomer van 2004 ben ik er fluitend overheen gefietst.
